#Latest zyxel firmware mac
nothing seems to stop it from getting that second MAC entry in the DHCP table. Just as an aside, i've tried giving the machine a static ip both with the router (static dhcp) and with the computer's network properties.
and, this service might not have a way to pop up a parental control login screen. for some reason i think it's linksys.Īnyway, as i've posted before, i think this is a direct result of some service on the computer trying to immediately make a wan connection. it's a dell, winxp home, 2 main users each with their own itunes setup, and the NIC is (i think) something onboard. if no-one uses that machine, then everything works fine. any computer on the lan that has to contact the parental control service to get WAN access is locked down from accessing both WAN and LAN (i think, WAN for sure) till the router is rebooted.įor me, it is always this one machine that gets two ips. When this happens to me, there is always a MAC listed twice, which should mean that one interface has two ip addresses on the lan. if you can, get to a command line interpreter and type:Īnd look at the output. When it happens again, before doing anything else, see if you can telnet into the router. I've had the same problem from the getgo. If I go into the router and "Restart", all the systems on the network start working normally, until the next time this problem crops up. Like I said, one it happens, it affects all computers on the network, Wired and Wireless. I have done that (what you have done above) and experienced the same problem as you, very odd. Retried using Internet Explorer.same sequence of events as above. also have valid dns servers.Ĭlosed dialog box and typed in admin in the address bar.Got login box for the embedded web configurator.Logged in as the admin user with no problems.Logged out and closed Netscape Navagitor. Any help would sure be appreciated!!įired up my T22 laptop to try your suggestion.DC on Netscape Nagavitor 7.2 icon. It's home page is set for "Connecting to in the lower status bar.Eventually timed out after about 30 seconds with the dialog box "The operation timed out when attempting to contact Opened a cmd prompt and was able to ping 192.168.1.1 with no problems.Have a valid ip address, subnet mask and dhcp server address of the HS-100W. I am hoping for a new firmware release as well. I have booked the Logon and Log-off URL's and that works most of the time, but not always.
#Latest zyxel firmware Pc
Seems to be a firmware issue, not related to any PC (All PC's are running XP SP2). When it happens, it affects all computers, not just one.
WOW, I am having the EXACT same issues, both wired and wireless computers. Go figure. My B2000 was rock solid.I want the HS-100W for the parental controls but will have to do something else if this can't be fixed.Looking forward to a new firmware. for a couple of days. Then today my laptop T22 which I havn't use in a couple of days today decides not to come up with the login page.I manually type in the url for the login page and it come's up and i can log in and get internet access. In troubleshooting I tried a system restart via the web interface with no effect. I've reloaded the latest firmware after Christmas and that worked o.k. What do I do to get it to work? Either type manually the url for the login page and I can then get the login page to display, login with any user name in the parental control list and it works fine or get the kids to use the shortcut I created for them for the login page.Or I can add their mac address to the bypass list then their usual home page comes up fine.but i lose the security for the kids.
#Latest zyxel firmware 64 Bit
I replaced my B-2000 AP v1 with the HS-100W and what happens is that I can't always get the login page to appear when I click on either Internet Explorer or Netscape 7.2.This happens on a IBM T22 laptop/XP Home with an ATT wireless card and two (2)desktop's/Windows 2000 SP4 both having a Zyxel B-200 client adapter.įirst thing I tried on the XP pc was to turn off the pop-off blocker. No change.I have 64 bit Static WEP as my security.Turned it to no security-no change. My kids have been yelling at me "Dad, I can't get on the Internet". I've have the HS-100W since Christmas and have been fighting problems on and off since.
